Each of our Valve chamber inspections include the following:
- Inspection of the valve chamber components; identifying defects.
- Utilizing a high quality camera to identify and record defects
- Confined Space and traffic protection for each inspection
Each inspection will take note of the following:
- Instances of distress, cracking, corrosion, or any other indications of structural fatigue, deterioration, or pending failure.
- Instances of leakage or water penetration, specifically, around joints and cracks and in areas of mechanical equipment or piping etc.
- The piping, valves, and valve-operating stem, and ladder components will be inspected for corrosion and pitting. Rivets and bolts will be examined for tightness and metal loss.
- Generally, look for missing, damaged, rusted, or warped ladders, covers, vents, and operating stems.
- Access hatches and covers will be checked for proper installation, and adjustment rings checked for integrity and deterioration;
- Site conditions, including access conditions and constraints, chamber flooding, grading conditions
- Inspection of miscellaneous components including all lighting, ladders, handrails, equipment anchors and lifting hooks, where applicable;
- Representative photos/videos are to be taken of the chamber location
